  White-point Mythimna albipuncta

B&F: 2194

ABH: 73.297

Status:  Resident

Distribution and Abundance: Scarce

Records: 18 July 1999 Daventry (K. Williams),
5 August 2003 Boughton Park (D. Howton)
5 September 2006 Old Sulehay Forest (R. Follows) and
21 October 2009 Woodnewton (N. Smith).

Observations: As the moth closely resembles its congener The Clay (M.  farrago) it can easily be passed over as this species. The Boughton Park moth was quite similar to The Clay but its smaller size was initially apparent. A further moth was taken at m.v. light in Pitsford village on 5 August 2011.

First Record: 1999, Daventry, Williams.
